Marilyn Monroe was an American actress, model, and singer. She was one of the most popular sex symbols of the ’50s and early ’60s.
Marilyn was born Norma Jeane Mortenson on June 1, 1926, in Los Angeles, CA. She also used the name Norma Jeane Baker.
Although only 5 feet 5 inches in height, she became famous playing as the “Blonde Bombshell”.
Marilyn Monroe was married three times: She was first married to a Los Angeles policeman named James Dougherty from 1942 to 1946. Secondly, married to one of the most famous sluggers in history; Joe DiMaggio from 1954 to 1955. And thirdly, married to an American essayist and playwright Arthur Miller from 1956 to 1961. Additionally, Monroe was rumored to be the bombshell mistress of John F. Kennedy.
She died of drug (barbiturate) overdose on August 5, 1962, at Brentwood, Los Angeles, CA.
