Elizabeth Taylor was an American-British actress famous for her collection of jewelry and husbands.
She was born on February 27, 1932, in London, England. Elizabeth started her career in the early ’40s as a child actress. Later became one of the most popular classical stars in Hollywood in the ’50s. Additionally, she, also, was a businesswoman and humanitarian. She was known to have a collection of big diamonds.
Elizabeth Taylor died on March 23, 2011, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, California. One of her interesting legacies was that she was married eight times during her lifetime. And to top it off; she married one of the men twice.
Elizabeth Taylor and her Seven Husbands:
1. Conrad Hilton Jr.: Married 1950 – 1951. Conrad was the brother of the famous hotel owner Barron Hilton. He was a socialite, businessman and hotel heir.
2. Michael Wilding: Married 1952 – 1957. He was a stage, television, and film actor.
3. Michael Todd: Married 1957 – 1958. He was an American film producer, best known for his 1956 production of Around the World in 80 Days. Known as the third of Elizabeth Taylor’s seven husbands and is the only one whom she did not divorce.
4. Edwin “Eddie” Fisher: Married 1959 -1964. He was an American actor and singer. Plus one of the most popular artists during the first half of the ’50s.
5. Richard Burton: Married 1964 -1974. Burton was a noted Welchs and a formidable Shakespearean actor in the ’50s. He had a memorable performance in Hamlet in 1964.
6. Richard Burton: Married 1975 -1976.
7. John William Warner: Married 1976 -1982. Was an American attorney and politician. He served as the United States Secretary of the Navy from 1972 to 1974. In addition, he was also a five-term Republican U.S. Senator from Virginia from 1979 to 2009.
8. Larry Fortensky: Married 1991 -1996: He was a construction worker best known as the seventh and last husband of actress Elizabeth Taylor. They were married at Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch.
